DENTAL TREATMENT WITH LASER – WATERLASE IPLUS
We are pleased to offer for our patients an innovation in dentistry – BIOLASE WATERLASE IPLUS.
What is BIOLASE WaterLase IPlus?
It is the world’s most advanced laser capable of working with all tissues.
The following procedures can be performed with a laser:
- Tooth tissue removal and preparation for filling.
- Root treatment procedures – disinfection of root canals.
- Bone and soft tissue procedures; for example, lip and tongue plasty in both children and also in adults.
- Removal of inflammatory tissue, gum treatment, treatment of periodontitis.
- Surgical release of the retained wisdom tooth and removal of the tooth root tip.
- Extremely sensitive reduction of the tooth neck.
- Opening of the abscess or possible source of pus and immediate sterilization.
Is Laser Dentistry Safe?
Lasers have an increasing share in both medicine and dentistry. In many cases, the use of a laser is safer than manual and invasive techniques (e.g. for gum procedures), because the laser immediately closes and sterilizes the wound. As a result, the procedures are less painful and heal faster. In most cases, it is possible to return to the rhythm of life the next day in the case of gum and bone procedures, sensitivity of the gums may occur within a week. In the case of caries treatment, recovery is usually not necessary, and after the procedure there is less pain and the risk of complications (dental nerve irritation) compared to drilling.
What are the advantages of BIOLASE dental lasers?
The advantages of using BIOLASE dental lasers over traditional methods are as follows:
- Reduced heat and vibration.
- High accuracy.
- There is little or no need for an anesthetic.
- Little or no bleeding.
- Less postoperative swelling.
- Fewer drugs/antibiotics are needed.
BIOLASE laser technology enables several procedures during one appointment. The procedure is as painless as possible for the patient.
Who and When Is a BIOLASE Patient?
Almost every patient is an excellent candidate for laser dentistry.
- Laser treatment is definitely suitable for you if you are afraid of drilling your teeth and the sound and vibration associated with it.
- Simple anesthetics – cleaning tooth tissue with a laser is mostly painless and no additional anesthetic is needed.
- Various surgical procedures do not require the use of a scalpel, so wound healing is faster and less painful.
- Laser energy sterilizes and closes the incisions immediately, in most cases there is no need to apply stitches later.
- The laser is certainly a good choice if you need contouring of the gums or treatment of gum diseases – the laser sterilizes and closes the wounds.
