What is BIOLASE WaterLase IPlus?
It is the world’s most advanced laser capable of working with all tissues.
The following procedures can be performed with a laser:
- Tooth tissue removal and preparation for filling.
- Root treatment procedures – disinfection of root canals.
- Bone and soft tissue procedures; for example, lip and tongue plasty in both children and also in adults.
- Removal of inflammatory tissue, gum treatment, treatment of periodontitis.
- Surgical release of the retained wisdom tooth and removal of the tooth root tip.
- Extremely sensitive reduction of the tooth neck.
- Opening of the abscess or possible source of pus and immediate sterilization.
Is Laser Dentistry Safe?
Lasers have an increasing share in both medicine and dentistry. In many cases, the use of a laser is safer than manual and invasive techniques (e.g. for gum procedures), because the laser immediately closes and sterilizes the wound. As a result, the procedures are less painful and heal faster. In most cases, it is possible to return to the rhythm of life the next day in the case of gum and bone procedures, sensitivity of the gums may occur within a week. In the case of caries treatment, recovery is usually not necessary, and after the procedure there is less pain and the risk of complications (dental nerve irritation) compared to drilling.

What should be considered during laser treatment?
The laser cannot be used on teeth with silver/amalgam fillings.
